How it works
Write down what you’re working on so your session has a clear goal.
Work on that task — and only that task — until the timer rings. Press space to pause.
Take a 5-minute break, and a longer one after four sessions. Then go again.
Good to know
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. You work in focused 25-minute sessions called pomodoros, with a 5-minute break after each one and a longer break after four.
Short, fixed sessions make it easier to start, a ticking timer keeps you from drifting into email, and regular breaks keep your energy up all day. Many people with ADHD find it especially helpful because it makes time visible.
FAQ
The classic Pomodoro is 25 minutes of focus followed by a 5-minute break. This timer also lets you pick 15, 45 or 60 minutes, so you can match the session to the kind of work you’re doing.
Yes. The timer keeps counting in the background and the remaining time shows in the browser tab. Turn on sound and notifications to be alerted when a session ends.
Your settings, current task and today’s session count are saved in your browser only. Nothing is sent to us.
In Planzer.io the timer is linked to your tasks, tracks your time automatically, runs in your menu bar and on your iPhone lock screen, and shows estimated vs actual time in Analytics.
